Why is some of my social media private?

Published on 2 February 2022 at 20:41

Some of you have come to this link because my Twitter, Instagram, or other social media is private. The reason for this is due to some of these following events. They will be private until proper action becomes taken.

Update: My Instagram and Twitter are no longer private.

December 27, 2021

?:?? AM - I wake up early during winter break and check Discord. One of the servers with new messages happens to be TheCuriousCatPerson's community (now closed).

?:?? AM - One of the messages leads to a website with a text document named catboy_dox.txt. I read this file as I'm not sure what it is. It turns out that this document lead to personal information about TheCuriousCatPerson, including parents personal information, social media accounts, passwords, and even the address of where he lives.

?:?? AM - Upon seeing this, I ban the user.

3:03 PM - TheCuriousCatPerson sends me a DM.

December 29, 2021

?:?? - overgreen_dox.txt is uploaded to the same website. This should be common sense, but don't try to look for this. I'd prefer to stay alive, thanks 😉

January 31, 2022

12:00 AM-11:59 PM - The last day in my life where I felt safe.

February 1, 2022

5:14 PM - TheCuriousCatPerson sends me another DM for the first time since December. (Note: Do not visit any links shown in this blog post or anywhere else relating to this, the website probably has an IP grabber or other type of info grabber for these purposes, so I'd recommend to stay away, even if you are using a VM, VPN, etc. Remember, if it can happen to me, it can happen to you.

8:?? PM - I change my Discord status to "😭 Apparently I was doxxed... BRB moving to Hobart" while in fear of my safety. I obviously do not plan to move to Hobart, Australia, but once you get doxxed, it might be a good idea to, IDK, move?

9:06 PM - I am sent another DM by TheCuriousCatPerson, which I respond to.

9:10-9:12 PM - I am sent a series of screenshots by ThatCuriousCatPerson (not shown for safety/privacy reasons) and another message apologizing for what has happened.

9:13 PM - I stop freaking out enough to get out a single response.

9:27-9:51 PM - I send out a series of Tweets to my then-public Twitter account. Here are what the Tweets read:

9:27 PM: Alright, so, I got doxxed. Please don't go looking for it. If I send you any DM or post anything weird on any account, it is one of the "toxics," not me.

@juliastechspot you have a chance of having this issue, stay as safe as possible!

9:40 PM:

I have done nothing wrong to these people. There was no reason for this. If they see this, get into contact with me (NOT IRL), please!
9:44 PM:
I just want to be respected. I thought I was safe. Julia has wished not to be involved with this. I was labeled an "old opp." I assume opp means opponent, BUT HOW AM I ONE?
9:47 PM:
I hope to have my info removed somehow, but I know that won't happen. I am highly apologetic for anything I did to them. If they let me know what I did wrong, I will do anything I can to make it right.
9:51 PM:
I will do literally (almost) anything to make them not do this and get my dox off the internet. I have been reassured that I will be safe IRL, but I can't feel sure of that. Lastly, I have learned to use some better protection online.

9:27 PM - Julia DMs me with a screenshot of the Tweet.

The conversation with julia

February 1, 2022 (continued)

9:?? PM - I change my Instagram bio with a hint of what was said as a message to the doxxers, who were trying to figure out who I have a crush on. Shoutout to Payton, my actual crush.

february 2, 2022

7:44 AM - I arrive at school and immediately alert my friends of what has happened, including my supposed crush. A lot of people at my school already think we're trying to date, and now people neither of us actually know think so too.

12:25 PM - It is time for lunch at school and I make sure to notify my friend of everything that has happened and all information that is now contained in one link. This is how I freaked out an entire lunch table in less than 10 minutes.

12:?? PM - Before lunch ends, I make sure to set my Twitter and Instagram accounts to private so no info can be grabbed from them now.

8:31 PM - I check the time to enter it into the blog post.

What was in the dox?

If there was an easy way to insert this, I would do that. However, these screenshots contain information nobody except my closest friends and family members should know, so that method does not work. However, I will mention what was in the dox, with the all the information removed, of course. This is also written in my own words, so I don't accidentally leak any information to another group of people while trying to type it word for word.

They act as if this is a presentation, because they say "Presents..." as the first actual ASCII word in this. Before that, there was ASCII art of the website's name. Reminder, don't go to it. They start of with the reason being just because of boredom, and to "$moke on old opps." I have no idea what this means. A notes section follows this, starting off with saying that I supposedly follow my crush on my Instagram account, which is true. This was also stated in one of my previous Instagram bios, which they claim to have been changed right before this dox was posted. They say that they know to document *everything* they find. Well, how about you don't? Or at least not post it on the internet? Like, if I haven't done anything to you or your friends, there's no point in doing this. This is followed up by a screenshot apparently titled "overgreengetsnopussy.png." Yeah, obviously, because I don't want it... Continuing on with the crush information, they say they have their beliefs on who it is and why, shown with "the followers," a later part in this document. They do say (even though they think they know who it is) to DM everyone I'm following. Well, good luck with that now, however knowing them, they probably have all the people I'm following in their Brave Browser bookmarks on Linux. They follow up with this idea by saying they will probably DM everyone themselves just for fun, and if it's possible to get their contact info, to say that I like them. I only liked her more than friends in 6th grade, and she rejected me way more times than she should've had to deal with, so shut up about it. Then, they say I'm going to be a future high school dropout, because apparently, of course I am? I'm not sure why they think that. They then have the exact date and names of my parents who were divorced. After that, it jumps straight into my info, including my full name (including my middle initial!), known usernames (RealOvergreen, Reply5123, etc.), the normal stuff. I'm surprised they never included TheReplyer, however, that was quite short lived, but I did use it in a few places. Next, my house address. That's not at all okay to have. How they found it, I have no idea. And almost as if to make it look like they didn't just reveal that, they have my birthday. That's fine, I don't think anyone can do much with that. But with all the other info they have, they might just commit identity theft. Of a 16 year old. I don't know where that will get them, but I hope this blog post will get them where they belong. They then list all my accounts. This includes: Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Website (including some really obscure one that literally leads to a newer website), TikTok, LinkedIn (I don't have a LinkedIn, but okay?), DeviantArt, GitHub, Twitch, Steam, Imgur, osu! (I don't play osu!), SoundCloud, Smule (an older account, however, that I don't use, I'm not even sure how they found this), Kongregate, Newgrounds, Scratch, Reddit, Minecraft, Flicker, Skype, Pinterest, BuzzFeed (wait, you can make accounts on BuzzFeed? News to me, even though I apparently have an account...), Roblox, and Spotify. They use a combination of these sources to get information about me, even Spotify. I would assume half of the things on here wouldn't be found if the obscure website was taken down, as it links to an inactive Twitter account with even more links to other pages. They then list my high school (not so scary when compared to other information, it's literally the same name as the town I live in). They show a quote apparently from me saying I want to drop out, followed by a single line saying "McDonalds life." At least I know it's McDonald's, not McDonalds. Gosh, maybe I actually do belong there. Either way, that's the second funniest part of this whole thing. It then goes to a section about my interests, which includes Art/Drawing, with a link to a blog that I didn't even know existed that reports about me winning second place in some art competition, then it also has "Technology (well, duh)." That's fair. It then moves onto my Instagram following. Before getting to the point, they mention that they would usually not mention it, but they think it'd be funny because I supposedly follow my crush on Instagram. They say to put the pieces together, or of course, again, DM all of them. Dumb idea. They then list a "clue" which is a Spotify playlist that I made for my best friend, but they think that I have a crush on her, which I don't. So they believe it's them. If they had taken one look at my current Twitter account, they would know that I am part of the LGBTQ+ community, and the rainbow flag usually means homosexual, even though it has other meanings. including the entire community. Anyways, the next part shows my following. It includes my mom and my cousin (however they say my mom's niece because of Facebook things?) under a "Family" section. They include 3 IRL. This listed my actual crush, my supposed crush, and someone else. Two were easily spotted to be IRL, because they included the school name in their bio. I got one of them to remove it because that's just bad. The other person was spotted because of my previous interest in art including us working together. Sadly, their deadname was being used... Luckily, the largest list is just online friends. This is quite easy to deal with, because it's their information, not for me to worry about. They list three emails (that's fine, my email needs to be somewhere online, it's electronic in the first place). Then, KNOWN PASSWORDS!? Yes, they have listed some known passwords of mine. I have now changed my password or enabled 2FA on accounts using those passwords, so they can't get through. Luckily, they have not found my password for my Google accounts, which are my most important. I log into sites with Google almost all the time if available, anyways, so it makes sense, I hope. They then list one breach which they apparently got 7 passwords out of? I don't understand that. They don't list any other breaches, but some of those password are really old. One of them I used to secure my Roblox account back in 2012, so... They then continue on to list "father," then saying that I hate his fucking guts. They use a now private Spotify playlist and Tweet as a source for this. The Tweet was actually talking about my dad's even more psycho girlfriend, but close enough, I guess. They also archived both of these links... but none of my social media except for my Facebook accounts. Strange. I wonder if I can request the website to remove these? Probably not, because sadly they didn't use the Wayback Machine, which will gladly blacklist any site you ask if you own it. I assume this includes social media accounts. Weirdly enough, all the information listed is about my stepfather, not my actual father, even though they listed my biological parents divorce all the way at the beginning? I don't understand. My theory for why my real father's (that, yes, I do indeed "hate his fucking guts") info doesn't show up here is because his only online presence is an eBay account, email, and Amazon account. Understandable, right? My stepfather's info, however, listed here, has full name (interestingly, they found his full middle name but could only ever find my middle initial, thank God, even though I'm an athiest.)  It also has voter info, old vehicle info, Facebook account, interests (or rather interest, that being guns). And phone numbers. I don't know if these are up to date, but I know for sure the landline one isn't, because my family doesn't own a landline telephone anymore. My mother is then accurately listed here. Including full name, birthday, and current address. Again, voter information is here. My mom's exact occupation, including place and position, my mom's old names (just last names from being married/never married) and nickname appear here in place of any old vehicle info, which I'm sure they couldn't find. Her Facebook and Instagram appear here. Fortunately, her Instagram is private. There are some pictures of me on there... Then my mom's phone number appears here, which they assume to be primary, which it is. The phone number was apparently found through Facebook. I should tell my mom to update her security settings. A landline number also appears here, which was our old landline number, but we do neither use nor own it anymore. It ends off right there.

Conclusion

I have a stalker, and a group of people I'd prefer not to call "toxics" but must because that's what everyone else calls them hate me. I am hoping to get this info removed somehow, but unfortunately I just don't think that's possible.

Q: Will you be making other social media private?

A: If I feel I need to do so, I will.

Q: How can I currently contact you?
